Part-Time Communication Officer/Jail Officer

The City of Cumming is actively recruiting a qualified individual for the above position.  The individual selected for this position will work up to 20 hours per week and must be flexible on shifts worked.  The rate of pay for this position is $12.00 per hour.  The successful candidate must posses current POST Certification as a Certified Communication Officer and Certified Detention Officer

LIFEGUARDS WANTED

At the New

Cumming Aquatic Center

The City of Cumming is actively recruiting and training lifeguards to work at the new Cumming Aquatic Center scheduled to open June 2011.  American Red Cross lifeguard certification courses are available for those who need to be trained.  

Job Requirements

Lifeguards:  Must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification and be able to pass the lifeguarding skills test at the Cumming Aquatic Center.   

(Estimated 16 positions available including 5 summer seasonal)

Lifeguard/Instructors:  Must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification, be able to pass the lifeguarding skills test and have a current ARC Water Safety Instructor certification.  (Estimated 12 positions available)

Assistant Head Guard:  Must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification, be able to pass the lifeguarding skills test and have a current ARC Water Safety Instructor certification.  Must have 2 or more season’s experience of lifeguarding and teaching swimming plus proven ability to lead/supervise staff.  (Estimated 2 positions available)

Head Guard:  Must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and have a current ARC Water Safety Instructor certification.  Must have 2 or more season’s experience of lifeguarding and teaching swimming plus proven ability to lead/supervise staff and assist in-service training of staff.

Supervisor: Must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor/Trainer Certification; and have a current ARC Water Safety Instructor certification.  Must have 3 or more season’s experience of lifeguarding and teaching swimming plus proven ability to lead, supervise and train staff.   (Estimated 1 position available)

Lifeguard Training classes are schedule during the months March – April 2011 at Frances Meadows Aquatic Center in Gainesville, Georgia.
