Veterans War Memorial

Cumming’s Veterans War Memorial is located at 301 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, one block from the city square. The memorial pays homage to the sons and daughters of Cumming and Forsyth County who served their country on both foreign and American soil. Engraved into the granite pillars, on permanent display, you will find the names of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our great country.

This monument is open to the public year-round and serves as the grounds for our annual Memorial Day Ceremonies including The Avenue Of Flags put on display each year. Each flag hoisted in the Avenue of Flags is dedicated to a veteran that served in active duty during times of peace or during conflict. The official ceremonies begin at 11am, each Friday before Memorial Day Weekend. Join us on this glorious day to celebrate our freedom and those who fought to preserve it.
